Invisible Papillon Synopsis: (probably should have done this before the prologue. P.S. Papillon means butterfly.)
Laena is a girl with photographic memory. Since childhood, she has been dealing with the downfalls of having such an ability. She has decided to enroll in a special academy for atypical, prodigies. There, she meets many strange people, including the germ-phobic, genius piano player, Jin. These two end up on the same mission to find a mythical butterfly that escaped from an alternate universe. The butterfly possesses something that so many people have lost, as well as something Laena must find so that she does not lose something important.

Prologue: Invisible Papillon
A crackle of lightning emanated from the Acropolis, and a radiant, bright light followed. A scurry of feet filled the halls. The cloaks swept hurriedly over the limestone floors.
At the center of the structure stood the massive statue of the goddess; the Athena Parthenos.
The prefects came as soon as they heard of the tumultuous conditions inside the citadel.
The head councilman was the first to enter, followed by the rest of his anxious colleagues.
“Tell me what in name of the gods is happening?” he demanded anxious to no one in particular.
A bearded man stepped forward, raising his hand to assuage the man’s anxiety.
“Calm yourself Michaelis,” his colleague soothed. The man turned in a swift motion. He was young and therefore inexperienced in stressful situations, unlike his colleague and former teacher.
“How can I not panic, Caloneus?” he fumed.
“This is not some small matter that we can fix,” Michaelis retorted, clawing his face.
“What is happening?” an elder prefect asked.
“Yes, what has rattled you so, my young friend?”
Michaelis dropped his head and turned his eyes.
Putting a hand on his shoulders, Coloneus told the other three prefects of the great disaster.
“The treasure of the muse has taken flight.”
The prefects stood, wide-eyed, as the shock froze them in place.
“ How can this be?” the words stumbled out .
“When did this happen?” another questioned.
Michaelis lifted his head, his eyes tightly closed.
Sigh. “I don’t know why exactly, but it happened on my shift, therefore I am the responsible party. I have failed in my duty.”
Caloneus patted his shoulders empathically.
“Young one, you must tell them all that has happened.”
At this, Michaelis winced. He spoke slowly.
“It’s not quite the when that concerns me but the where.”
He gave another deep sigh. “…it seems that the treasure has gone to…” He hesitated a moment. He was the unfortunate messenger with news to shake the entire acropolis.
“It seems that the treasure has crossed the dimension,” he finally spat.
Stunned silence filled the room for what seemed like decades.
“…to the other world?” someone managed to ask.
“The other world.” His peer confirmed.
“That is inconceivable. The human race doesn’t deserve the treasure.”
“We too are humans.” The man’s voice was distinctly disappointed.

“What do we do now?”
“It’s simple. We retrieve the treasure.”
